Digital Inclusion
Healthworks Digital Inclusion Services
Healthworks Digital Inclusion Services help people get online and stay connected in everyday life. Being online supports access to health, finances, education, work, and communication with family. We work to remove the barriers that prevent people from using digital tools with confidence.

Across the UK, many people still struggle to access the internet. Some can’t afford data, some don’t have the right device, and others feel unsure about using technology. We aim to make digital access fair, safe, and achievable for everyone.
When people are connected, they can find health information, access support, and discover opportunities that improve wellbeing and quality of life. Digital inclusion is health inclusion.
Our Digital Inclusion Services
Digital Inclusion: Free Data Through the National Databank

As part of our Healthworks Digital Inclusion Services, we provide free mobile data through the UK National Databank. The Good Things Foundation runs the Databank with support from Virgin Media O2, Vodafone, and Three.
The Databank works like a “food bank for data.” It gives people free SIM cards, mobile data, and digital support when they cannot afford to stay connected.
Who can apply?
You may be eligible if you have little or no internet access because of cost. For example, this could be because you cannot afford your current payments.
To apply, you must:
-
Be 18 years or older
-
Live in a low-income household
In addition, one or more of the following must apply:
-
You have no or poor internet access at home
-
You have no or poor internet access when away from home
-
You cannot afford your current monthly contract or top-up
What you’ll need
To access this support, you must have one of the following:
-
A mobile phone
-
A 4G tablet
-
A portable Wi-Fi device
Please note: if you are in a fixed contract with your current provider, we cannot cancel your agreement. You will remain responsible for any existing payments.
How to get support
If you meet the criteria, please complete the National Databank application form below. We will then contact you to arrange a collection time.
SIM cards cannot be posted. You must collect your SIM in person from our Centres. When you arrive, you will need to complete a short form before collecting your SIM.
The data is available on O2, Vodafone, or Three only.
